It’s snowing and it has been all morning! It snowed on Friday and Saturday so we were stuck inside! But no we braved it this morning, wiped off the car (Faithful “Gertie”, not the Roadster) and crept along the side roads to the main road and headed into Bromley. Roads were empty but we were determined to go out!!
That’s Faithful Gertie behind my friend’s Mazda
We made it to the Glades and here I am at Starbucks – notice the finished Hitchiker scarf in Malabrigio Sock yarn
We knitted and drank coffee for a couple of hours – bliss on a Sunday morning – and a trio of fellow knitters joined us as well, then off home again, the snow was deeper but roads ok and as there were no hills to negotiate we made it back in one piece – thanks to “Faithful Gertie”, she might be old and not very beautiful but is she reliable!!
This week I haven’t been working on Carrie I succumbed to some of my Yarn stash – Lace weight by Phydeaux Yarns – Fee Aurellia, acid dyed in small lots by the amazing Brenda – and I started the Ethereal Shawl by Lakshmi Juneja. I have done nine repeats of the first pattern and just started the second chart
Finally may I introduce you to Bella (mum centre), Rosie (tabby Kitten) and Albus (known as AL) who have been with us for a week now. Bella is a bit timid but loves to be hand fed turkey, Rosie is shy but I think she will turn out to be a hunter and Al well there’s always one, he’s really scatty, fearless and into everything and the dog has well and truly been put in his place!
